In “Cinderella’s Revenge”, Cinderella, who is otherwise portrayed so harmlessly, gets rid of her hunchbacked (step) relatives in an apparently very brutal way. Are you up for that? Then take a look at the trailer here:
Fairy tales and Disney children’s stories that are re-released in the form of cheaply made and brutal horror or action films are really nothing new anymore – “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey“, “Alice In Terrorland“, “Piglet’s Return” or “Snow White And The Seven Samurai“Thank you.
“Cinderella’s Revenge” by director Andy Edwards (“Graphic Desires”) is on the one hand in the same vein, but in addition to various bloody scenes it also brings in a humorously absurd note. For example, figures like Elon Musk, Tom Ford or Vidal Sassoon, who are known from our present day, suddenly appear here in the late Middle Ages – of course not the real gentlemen, but portrayed by actors. Mittenmang finds herself – as a fairy godmother with a pronounced tendency to cynicism – Natasha Henstridge. The slightly older sci-fi horror fans among us still know the Canadian from the cult “Species” series.
Does the trailer above appeal to you? And/Or are you Henstridge hardcore fans? Then you can soon watch the film in your home cinema. Because “Cinderella’s Revenge“ will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on February 6, 2025. Both formats with FSK 18 approval can already be pre-ordered:

“Cinderella’s Revenge”: That’s the story
Cinderella (Lauren Staerck) is desperate when she learns of the death of her beloved father. What she doesn’t know: her stepmother, the money-hungry and power-hungry Katherine (Stephanie Lodge), simply had him murdered. Now the young woman lives as a kind of house slave under Katherine’s tyrannical rule and has to take care of her evil stepsisters (Beatrice Fletcher, Megan Purvis) who humiliate them wherever they can.
When the king gives a party, Katherine brings her daughters to court so that they can address the crown prince (Darrell Griggs) throw at you. But he only has eyes for one unexpected guest: Cinderella, who looks simply stunning with the help of a fairy godmother (Natasha Henstridge) and the skills of the 21st century designers and stylists she conjures up.
This is how Cinderella wins the prince’s heart, but the stepmother and her daughters don’t want to accept it. Back home, they torture her worse than ever. The suffering of the actually kind-hearted girl turns into pure anger. Once again with the help of the fairy godmother and a mask she provides that gives her superhuman powers, she wants to take bloody revenge for all the years of oppression.
Absurd, strange and quite funny in a completely different way “Hundreds Of Beavers“. FILMSTARTS editor Daniel Fabian introduces you to the crazy work in the following article and also has the trailer ready:
