Lewis Einstein is a brilliant but disorganized great -grandson by Albert Einstein, who works as a professor in Princeton – at least if he even makes it to class. His outstanding intellect and the big name he bears are as burden for him as an obligation. When Lewis gets into legal difficulties, he is forced to help the police to investigate complex cases – an opportunity to give his life a new direction and possibly even make sense.
At his side is Detective Inspector Veronica “Ronni” Paris from New Jersey State Police. After the death of her husband, she joined the police and has been known for her discipline, her ingenuity and high demands since then – as well as to others. Cooperation with an eccentric professor like Einstein is anything but desirable for you.
Was originally Rosa Salazar (“Alita: Battle Angel”) intended for the role of the Ronni, but after the first shift of the project, she asked for a contract, possibly for reasons of time. Who has replaced it is not yet known.
Although “Einstein“Initially planned for the TV season 2025/2026, CBS postponed production by another year to 2026/2027. The reasons for the delay are not known, but could be related to planning or budget questions. However, the additional lead gives the series more time for careful implementation. Andy Breckman and Randy Zisk are responsible for the project – a creative duo that has already proven with the cult series “Monk” how entertaining eccentric investigators can be.
