After the emotionally stirring final of “Avatar: The Way of Water” the third part of the series is slowly taking shape – with a first official picture, which gives an idea of the force of the upcoming events. Empire Magazine has via X Exclusively published a photo that shows a deeply shaken and at the same time ready -to -fight Neytiri.
With a curved arch and an angry look, she symbolizes what James Cameron with “Avatar: Fire and Ash” wants to bring to the screen: a new war in which personal losses and existential questions meet.
In an interview with Empire Zoe Saldaña spoke about Neytiri’s state after the death of her son Neteyam, who dies in the final film in the last film. This experience shapes your figure profoundly and forms the basis for your development in the third part:
“This pain is continued seamlessly. And because it has no place to go to because it does not disappear, anger can also arise from it.”

James Cameron promises Zoe Saldaña in top form
A central new element is the encounter with the people of the “Ash People”, a Na’vi-Klan that has not yet been at the center. Its leader Varang is played by Oona Chaplin. A special conflict seems to be emerging between her and the Neytiri, because according to Saldaña, Neytiri becomes “their kind” here.
