A rumor about the sci-fi action film that has been circulating for a long time “Dredd” From 2012 it seems to have finally been confirmed. Garland explained:
“What happened at the time-to be honest, it has passed a lot of time-I was basically a ghost director. If something went wrong or I felt that something did not go properly, I saw and thought the implementation of the scenes: ‘This scene is actually not a decisive part and that doesn’t make sense for me.’ I could see when the film was released that it didn’t matter to the people whether this component was present or not – but it was important to me. ”

Alex Garland was also unable to help “Dredd” to be successful
Although Garland does not expressly state the name of the film, sources also confirmed to Slashfilm that it is clearly “DREDD”. This confirms the long -term rumor that Garland did more during production than just writing the script.
Officially, Pete Travis directed, but Garland apparently had a significant influence on the staging. Even then, it became known that there was creative differences and that Garland supervised the cut – which now has more meaning in retrospect.
