Pakistani actress Mavra Hocken recently shared a post, in which she described India’s Operation Sindoor as ‘cowardly’. Bollywood actor Harshvardhan Rane gave a befitting reply to this post of actress, who worked with Pakistani actress in ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’. He refused to work with Mavra in ‘Sanam Teri Kasam 2’ after looking at Mavra’s post about India. This decision of Harshvardhan was so furious that now he openly started to furious on the actor. The answer has now been given by Harshvardhan. The Bollywood actor responded to the post of the actress in a very gentle and strict style and said that ‘I will not tolerate if anyone attacks my country’s honor.’
Harshvardhan Rane refused to work with Mavra
The controversy began when Harshvardhan Rane recently announced through Instagram that if Pakistani actress Mavra Hocain is included in the sequel of Sanam Teri Kasam, he will not work in it. His statement came in response to Mavra’s viral post in which he condemned India’s counter-air strikes- ‘Operation Sindoor’ on 7 May. Under this mission, nine terrorist launchpads were targeted in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir after the disastrous terrorist attack by the Indian Army on 22 April.
Harshvardhan’s decision
In his previous post, Mavra criticized India’s response and wrote, “We can hear the voices of all explosions, children in my country were killed due to an inappropriate cowardly attack, innocent people lost their lives … My armed forces created a frenzy in your country last night.” Mavra described Harshvardhan’s decision in the sequel of Sanam Teri Kasam as ‘PR Strategy’. Pak actress wrote- ‘The person I expected of basic general knowledge have come up from deep sleep and brought a PR strategy … while our countries are in war, have you brought all this? A PR statement to draw attention? How regrettable! ‘
Harshvardhan’s answer to Mavra
Reacting to this statement of Mavra, Harshvardhan wrote- ‘It seemed like a personal attack. Fortunately, I have the tolerance to ignore such efforts – but I have zero tolerance for any attack on the dignity of my country. An Indian farmer uproots unwanted weeds from his crop – it is called weeding. The farmer does not need any PR team for this work, it is called general knowledge. I just offered to withdraw from Part 2. I have every right not to work with those people who call the actions of my country ‘cowardly’.

Refusal of personal attack on Mavra
In his post, Harshvardhan also decided not to have a personal attack on Mavra. He wrote- “There was so much hatred in his speech, so many personal comments. I never took his name or called him bad. As a woman, she did not attack her dignity. I intend to maintain that standard.”
Makers also expressed resentment
On the other hand, the makers of Sanam Teri Kasam Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru have also expressed anger over Mavra’s rhetoric. Radhika and Vinay condemned Mavra Hocken in a conversation with HT and said- ‘We are fully agreed with our government’s decision. They should not be given even one rupee. As a nation, one minute of our time should not be given. No Indian platform should join them. The silence or worse rhetoric of these Pakistani artists working in India, love, respect and opportunity is disappointing.
