In the qualifier-2 of IPL 2025, Punjab Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets and qualified for the final, where they will face the RCB team. In the match, Mumbai scored 203 runs while batting first, after which Punjab easily achieved targets thanks to Shreyas Iyer’s half -century. Apart from him, Nehal Vadhera also batted strongly in the match.

Shreyas Iyer stayed at one end of the crease. He completed his half -century in 27 balls. Iyer scored 87 runs in 41 balls, including five fours and 8 sixes. The Mumbai bowlers flopped badly and could not do well. Ashwini Kumar took the most two wickets for the team.

Mumbai scored 200 plus due to Surya

The start for the Mumbai Indians team was not good, when Rohit Sharma was dismissed for just 8 runs. After this, Johnny Bairstow (38 runs) and Tilak Verma tried to stay on the wicket for some time and shared 51 runs. After Bairstow was dismissed, Suryakumar Yadav took over the responsibility of scoring runs. He scored 44 runs in 26 balls, including four fours and three sixes. Tilak Verma scored 44 runs. Finally Naman Dhir scored 37 runs. Due to these players, the Mumbai team managed to cross the score of 200 runs.
