In this series, New Zealand’s all-rounder Rachin Ravindra had performed brilliantly with the bat. Rachin was the highest scorer for New Zealand in this series with 256 runs. Chennai Super Kings also had a hand in this success of Rachin. Actually, before this series, Rachin had trained at the Chennai Super Kings Academy in Chennai, which benefited him in the series and he performed brilliantly against the Indian bowlers.
After Rachin Ravindra now another team Chennai Super Kings Is looking to take advantage of the academy. Actually, 7 players of West Indies will participate in the training camp at the academy of Chennai Super Kings. Cricket West Indies gave this information. According to Cricket West Indies, seven promising young cricketers from the West Indies will participate in a two-week intensive training camp at the Chennai Super Kings Academy from December 1. The group, along with West Indies Academy head coach Ramesh Subasinghe and assistant coach Rohan Nurse, will leave for India on November 29.
CSK will help West Indies
The players selected for this training camp include three contracted franchise players – Kirk McKenzie, Matthew Nandu and Kevin Wickham as well as current and former West Indies Academy players Teddy Bishop and Jewel Andrew and former West Indies Under-19 players Jordan Johnson and Akeem Auguste is included.
Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe said that the Chennai Academy will host these seven batsmen and will aim to equip them with the skills and experience to deal with spinning conditions. He said that his coaches will be present to ensure that the lessons learned during this period can be consolidated and passed on to other players through the academy. These players will take part in two-day matches and three white-ball fixtures as part of their training at the CSK Academy. He will work with experienced coaches including CSK Academy Director Shriram Krishnamurthy.
