Soon Jackie Chan can finally be seen again in the local cinemas with “Karate Kid Legends”. In the interview, he spoke about his action future.

Jackie Chan Filmography comprises over 150 films, and in 1962 he still had his first appearance in front of the camera under the name Yuen Lau, which he was wearing during his training at the China Drama Academy under his master Yu Jim-Yuen. Probably almost as often, he was injured in the shooting of his adventure and action films.
No wonder, the Stunts, which Chan Kong-Sang, as it is called with a real name, has performed in over 60 years, are still among the most daring ones that have ever been recorded on camera. In the meantime, the 71-year-old takes it a little bit calmer-but just something. He still performs as many stunts as possible, refuses to use computer effects.
Jackie Chan is still hungry for new ones
With “Karate Kid Legends” Comes 15 years after the cinema “Karate Kid” Another film from the so -called Miyagive. “I want to do something outside of action. I want to be an actor who can take on different roles. I personally am very open to changes. I want to do new things instead of just staying in the action world. I just don’t try to cross limits.”
Nevertheless, the fan favorite does not think of going into the (stunt) retirement:
“Of course I will always do my own stunts. That’s how I am. That won’t change until the day I will retire – and that will never be the case!”

He explains that even at the age of 71 he is still able to turn his stunts and action scenes himself, he explains that the processes, the timing and the sense of it have now passed into the blood – it has become part of his nature:
“To be honest, if you have done it continuously for 64 years, there is no more physical preparation (for the stunts). Everything is in your heart and in your soul – it is a muscle memory.”
At the end of the interview, however, it will be thoughtful, says “Maybe one day I will stop one day”. But Jackie Chan has been saying that for over 20 years at irregular intervals. And every time he finds the motivation to do it again: for his fans.
