When Daya Shankar Pandey did not have work
Talking about this, Daya Shankar Pandey says- ‘I did not have work. I was struggling with financial crisis. My family also refused to support me, but I thought I would earn money myself. I told the assistant director (AD) of the film ‘Akela Hum Akela Tum’ to give me any possible role and so he got me 12 days work in that film and I was getting 2000 rupees per day.
Aamir discharged from Daya Shankar Pandey’s work
Daya Shankar Pandey further states that Aamir knew him beforehand because he had already worked with the superstar in ‘Baji’, so Aamir knew that he was a good actor. He told that whenever Aamir was on the set, he used to try to avoid them so that no one would notice them. However, one day Aamir saw him and asked what he was doing there. When Pandey told him that he was working as a junior artist, Aamir immediately told Mansoor Khan and AD not to ‘do not waste’ and insisted that he is a ‘very good actor’.
